❄️ Snow Shoveling Shouldn’t Put You on the Sidelines ❄️

Shoveling snow might seem harmless, but every winter we see a spike in:

🎇Low back strains
🎇Shoulder injuries
🎇Neck pain
🎇Flare-ups of old injuries

Common mistakes:
❌ Twisting while lifting
❌ Lifting too much at once
❌ Using just your arms instead of your legs

Quick tips to shovel smarter:
✔️ Push snow when possible instead of lifting
✔️ Bend at your hips and knees, not your back
✔️ Keep the shovel close to your body
✔️ Take breaks! Snow isn’t worth an injury

Already sore or tweaked something? Don’t “wait it out.” Physical therapy can help you recover faster and prevent it from becoming a bigger issue!

Once you have a physical therapy referral, you have the right to choose where you receive your care. You are not required to go back to the hospital or clinic where your surgery was performed!

As we step into the new year, we’re thrilled to share some exciting news! Redbud Health is under new ownership, Please join us in welcoming Jeffrey Oliveira, DPT as the new owner of Redbud Health Physical Therapy.

Jeffrey also owns Apex Physical Therapy and Wellness in St. Joseph, and as a Physical Therapist himself he brings a strong commitment to high-quality, one-on-one patient care.

We’re also excited to welcome Lori Bliven, MSPT, COMT and Russell Harrison, DPT to the Redbud Health team. Their passion for helping patients move better, feel stronger, and live healthier makes them wonderful additions to our growing practice. Don’t worry Kari Mitchell-Coplen PTA and Erica Bradfield DPT are still here and ready to help you through your recovery and get you back to doing what you love!

we’re getting closer!

Project Update: Third Street/Skyline Drive Grinding & Paving

This Friday and Saturday, September 5–6, crews will be performing fine grading work on Third Street/Skyline Drive in preparation for paving next week.

The road will remain open to traffic, but drivers should expect short, intermittent delays as crews create safe paths around grading equipment. Please plan for a little extra travel time and use caution when driving through the work zone.

Thank you for your patience as we move closer to a newly paved roadway and new utilities.
