☀️ We’ve all been missing the sun lately and today is the perfect day to soak it in and get moving! ☀

There’s still time to step outside, stretch, go for a walk, or just get your body moving for a few minutes. Even a little activity can boost your mood and help loosen up those stiff muscles.

❄️ Snow Shoveling Shouldn’t Put You on the Sidelines ❄️

Shoveling snow might seem harmless, but every winter we see a spike in:

🎇Low back strains
🎇Shoulder injuries
🎇Neck pain
🎇Flare-ups of old injuries

Common mistakes:
❌ Twisting while lifting
❌ Lifting too much at once
❌ Using just your arms instead of your legs

Quick tips to shovel smarter:
✔️ Push snow when possible instead of lifting
✔️ Bend at your hips and knees, not your back
✔️ Keep the shovel close to your body
✔️ Take breaks! Snow isn’t worth an injury

Already sore or tweaked something? Don’t “wait it out.” Physical therapy can help you recover faster and prevent it from becoming a bigger issue!

📞 Call us or send a message to get moving safely again.

Once you have a physical therapy referral, you have the right to choose where you receive your care. You are not required to go back to the hospital or clinic where your surgery was performed!

Had a knee replacement in South Bend but live in Buchanan? You don’t need to travel far for rehab! You can complete your physical therapy right here, closer to home, with a team that focuses on personalized, one-on-one care.

Choosing a clinic that’s convenient for you can make it easier to stay consistent with therapy. Consistency is key to a strong recovery. 💪

If you have questions about transferring your referral or getting started locally, we’re happy to help guide you through the process.

Give us a call at 269-409-8626, your recovery should work for your life.

Small Town - First Rate Offerings & Services

Becky Roush has 30 years of experience and moved her private practice from Traverse City to Buchanan when she followed her husband, Chip, to our part of Michigan.

One of the challenges of any health facility is that we worry that people think pain is normal, or just part of the aging process. Soreness is normal, but pain may be trying to tell you something.

Becky can help people after traumatic injuries, but she also helps people who just need to figure out why they have a sore knee when they go downstairs. So, if you’ve been diagnosed with something like fibromyalgia, arthritis or a rotator cuff problem and aren’t sure what is safe for you to do at our health facility....Becky is the resource for that.

Becky has a sub-specialty in Pelvic Floor PT, so she can treat incontinence and other pelvic problems in men and women.
