What to say when God brings the perfect people into your midwifery practice?🥰 This AMAZING mama of 7 chose to switch from a hospital based provider to home birth at 32 weeks, and I am completely blown away by her!!! We quickly got her records and began deep dives on nutrition and all things optimal health as we heard her story and were excited to support her in her desire and determination for home birth🙌 Kristyn and I pray for each and every client that comes into SVB and to say we just adore this mama is an understatement 🧡 She worked hard to get prepared in the few weeks before delivery that we had together and then SHE DID IT! Bringing her sweet baby into her arms surrounded by her beautiful kids and family. ✨To say that we are grateful to be a part of her story is an understatement. Praise God for these amazing mamas we get to support through midwifery☀️

✨Those moments before the final descent of baby. I’ve heard it called the ‘rest and be grateful’ pause🧡. These two photos were taken less than 5 minutes apart. Did you have a pause before that final urge to bring your baby into your arms??

Just wanted to shout out for all the hard work and effort she is putting into her student midwifery journey ☀️ You are learning so much and putting it all into practice so beautifully each week with each interaction, appointment, and birth. I’m so proud of you Kristyn! You are doing the Lord’s work, and I know you are going to be an amazing midwife. It’s a LOT, but it’s so clear that this is what God has for you because you exude joy in all of it🙌 So glad we were able to get some relaxation in, and celebrate all that God’s doing as we talked through all things midwifery and birth 🧡

✨She didn’t get the herbal bath right after her baby arrived — those first hours were full and sacred in their own way 🤍
So when her six-week postpartum visit came, we created that space for her. The room was quiet, sunlight pouring through the window, the scent of lavender and calendula rising from the warm water as she gazed on the miracle before her, her sweet baby💙
As she sank into the bath, her shoulders softened, her breath deepened. You could feel her body remembering — the strength it took to bring new life forth, and the softness it needed to rest.
Healing postpartum doesn’t have an expiration date. Sometimes it meets us later, right when we need it most. 🌿✨

Our first 2026 baby arrived today!!! So exciting when it’s the first girl in their family, when it’s the first home birth after multiple hospital births, and when it’s the first SVB baby of the year 🎇

Last night, my dear friend Lindsey Lesh lost her husband suddenly and unexpectedly. Many of you know Lindsey—she is a light in our community, a beloved Sun Valley Birth mama, and cofounder of Still Here Ministries. She has shown up for so many of us in our hardest moments. Now she needs us to show up for her.

What a fun night at Radiant Church’s Fall Festival/Trunk or Treat 🍂 We had such a fun time riding rides, jumping on bounce houses, petting animals, and of course getting a little bit of candy as we walked through the line of cars doing trunk or treat! All while listening to 90.3 as they blasted worship music through out the night 🙌 and the icing on the cake was seeing a fellow SVB mama there!!!
