From Dr. Ali Khan’s Office, who helps families each day,
And the folks at Volume Bookshop, just down the way.

We’ve wrapped up some kindness and tied it up neat —

This year, we want to give a special thanks to three incredible people who have meant so much to our family and our community: Dave Coffman, Virgil Miller, and Mike Coffman.

Many may not know this, but before Sheriff Dave Coffman finished his term, he honored Dr. Khan by swearing him in as an honorary deputy—something our office will always cherish. Dave and Virgil were frequent visitors and dear family friends. Virgil, especially, was a true staple in our lives. He and Dr. Khan were like brothers, spending hours together laughing, joking, and sharing stories that still warm our hearts.

Today, their legacy lives on through Dave’s son—our outstanding sheriff, Mike Coffman. After sitting together recently and reminiscing about the “good old days,” we felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for having known Dave, Virgil, and Mike. Their dedication to this community is truly unmatched.

We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the court officials who work tirelessly to protect our town and uphold the law. Thank you for everything you do.

Calling All Young Geniuses of Buckhannon! 🧠✨

Dr. Khan’s Office is on the lookout for the brightest young minds in our community to take the official MENSA test — the global organization that recognizes individuals with IQs in the top 2%!

If you’re between 14 and 18 years old, have a letter of recommendation from a teacher, and are ready to challenge yourself, we’ll cover the cost of your MENSA practice test. And if you qualify, we’ll pay for your official exam too.

We believe Buckhannon is full of incredible, untapped potential — and now’s your chance to prove it. 🌟

Now that I finally have a moment to make a formal post, all I can say is… wow. Today was an absolute whirlwind — in the best way possible!

We want to sincerely apologize to those who came out but weren’t able to receive a free soup or gas card. The response was overwhelming. As soon as the post went up, a line started forming out the door. What we thought would last a full week was gone in just a few hours. And even after closing for lunch, we reopened our doors to another line of wonderful community members, waiting patiently and with so much kindness.

Talking with many of you today made one thing very clear — our community needs support, and we’re here to show up for you. We’re already planning our next giveaway, and it’s coming very soon. Thank you for understanding, thank you for showing up, and thank you for reminding us that we’re not just neighbors… we’re family. ❤️

Times are tough right now, and we want to do our part to help our community. In addition to the free soups advertised earlier (courtesy of the amazing Daniel Cain ), we’re partnering with Sarah St. Clair to also give out free Sheetz gas cards to help fill up your tank during this time of need. ❤️

Here’s how it works:
One gas card per household (while supplies last).
Must be picked up in person — no holds or early pickups.
First come, first served!

We’re so grateful to be part of a community that looks out for one another. 💙 Let’s spread kindness, fill hearts and gas tanks this week!

🍲 Community Support Alert: Free Soup for Those in Need 🍞

We understand that times are tough right now — especially with many SNAP benefits being reduced, leaving some of our neighbors without enough food. ❤️

That’s why Dr. Khan’s Office, in collaboration with Dough Re Mi (located at 39 College Ave, Buckhannon, WV 26201), is offering free soups to those in need.

Daniel Cain does an amazing job with his soups — we at Dr. Khan’s Office love eating them, and we want to make sure our community can too.

Simply stop by Dr. Khan’s Office at 2 Hartman Plaza, Buckhannon, WV to pick up your coupon for a free bowl of soup as part of our Pay-It-Forward Campaign.

Basic Guidelines:

One coupon per person per visit.

Coupons must be picked up in person.

Available while supplies last.

Together, we can make sure no one in our community goes hungry. 💛
