We are seeing a large number of cats being infected with Panleukopenia - This is the cat version of Parvo. It is a highly contagious virus and can remain in the environment for a long time. If your cat is not current on the DRC (FVRCP) vaccine or has never been vaccinated we strongly recommend getting them in and vaccinated as soon as you can. They do not have to be an outside cat to contract this, you can carry it inside.

Unfortunately, this virus is often deadly despite supportive care and treatment. Please see the link below for more information.

Feline panleukopenia is a highly contagious, potentially fatal disease in cats. Fortunately, there are highly effective vaccines available to help protect against it.
