Savory doughnuts are NO joke… and these?
Absolutely insane. 🍩🔥

We made the 1.5hour drive down to San Antonio the second we heard dropped their Savory Deep Dish Doughnuts — and they were 100% worth the drive and the calories!

Every single one is rolled in parmesan & herbs and baked into crispy, fluffy, flaky, layered goodness. Crispy on the outside, soft and airy on the inside. And the toppings? Loaded.

🍅 Margherita
Red sauce, mozzarella, basil pesto & olive oil. Fresh, herby, classic.

🍕 OG Pepperonj
Red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni & Italian herbs. That familiar flavor combo, layered and elevated.

Rich fig jam base, mozzarella, crumbled sausage & bacon with a fig drizzle. Sweet + savory perfection.

🍕In honor of , consider this your official heads-up!
pizza just opened a slice trailer () on South Congress next to , and YES… they’re serving their infamous NY-style pizza by the SLICE!

We randomly caught them opening up on Super Bowl Sunday…

Call it fate, but for research purposes we had to grab a slice to see if they lived up to our past memories….

Conclusion: worth. the. hype. and still hits like we remember!

That crust brings us back to a NY trip—thin and crispy underneath, light and fluffy with that perfect char and chew that makes it dangerously easy to say, “One more slice won’t hurt.”

Do yourself a favor: Grab the ranch! Dip the crust! Also… they need to bottle it. We’d buy it. We’d hoard it. No shame.

We only grabbed a slice… but next time we’re showing up with a bigger appetite!

🥐 Savory pastry heaven NEW location inside of 😮‍💨

Before the snowpocalypse hit, we were out on a walk and stopped in to check out the savory pastries! We didn’t plan on getting anything, but after seeing them we thought we gotta grab one!

This was our first time ever trying Teal Houses Pastries and WOW! It was PHENOMENAL!

🥓 Bacon + Goat Cheese + Rosemary Pastry
So flakey, so crispy, and the bacon-to-pastry ratio was 😅👏

They are taking over the kitchen 👀 inside the brewery!

Because of that we have to go back to try more pastries and see how they’re executing the Fast Friends Pizza Menu!

They have their own HALAL farm , so you’re basically shopping straight from the source!

🚨 Austin, we may have found THE ONE🚨

We went to (sister to .cocina) to celebrate our anniversary dinner a while back and from the moment you walk in…

Game. Over!

That incredible smoky aroma hits first as you walk into what feels like an upscale yet laid back ambiance. If you chose patio seating (covered and heated if necessary) you then walk outside to a grandiose view which is then followed by impeccable service and the kind of standout food that makes you quietly judge every other meal you’ve had in Austin 🫣

🫳🎤Hands down one of the TOP SPOTS we’ve been to and YES, it might officially be our new favorite 😮‍💨

• The machete (no photo evidence because we blacked out from crunch + flavor happiness)
• Margarita De La Casa — make it spicy 🌶️ (their fresh jalapeno juice is to die for and why it’s green!)

• Carne Asada with Chile Relleno
• Chocolate Cake with Cherry Guajillo Jam

We’ve gotta go back to actually order a dish with their infamous 800+ day mole, cause to be honest we’re not big mole people, but we had asked for a small sample to try and WOW 🤯… they might actually convert us - it was next level flavor worthy!

Plus we gotta try brunch and intentionally capture the epicness!

🧀🔥 High-Protein Green Chile Queso

Because we never realized exactly what “queso” was until we moved to Texas! 🫣

Since queso is almost a daily staple for some Texans we gave it a little macro glow-up using Muscle Booster Savory Protein and yes… it’s creamy, cheesy, a tad spicy plus helps hits your protein goals without blowing all your calories💪

Makes: 2 servings
Macros (per serving):
🔥 230 Calories
💪 26.4g Protein

📋Ingredients:
•150g low-fat Daisy cottage cheese
•2 cheese wedges
•28g reduced-fat Mexican cheese
•1 crushed garlic cube 🧄
•1 (4 oz) can diced green chiles

•46g pickled jalapeños 🌶️
•12g chopped red onion
•7g center-cut bacon bits

🗺️Directions:

We’ve heard the legends for a while and how their food truck had some of the BEST WINGS in Austin…

So good they’re rated 4.9 on along with taking wins at the

So when they opened a NEW brick-and-mortar you can dine in, we knew it was time…

🛑First off… they literally opened in the same parking lot as Wingstop, which totally made us say “wow… bold move.”

But honestly after one bite? Yeah… SOLID move. 😮‍🔥

These wings are:
🔥 Locked-in on flavor and ex*****on
🍗 Crispy on the outside, juicy where it matters
💪 Big, meaty wings (no sad, skimpy wings here)
🎯 Every basket comes out hot and fresh, no shortcuts

And the flavors? They’re dialed:

When we heard dropped a cookie made with whey protein, we obviously had to investigate 🕵️‍♀️🍪

Here’s the scoop👇
• 200 calories | 6g protein
• Peanut butter chocolate chip with crunchy peanuts

🥜 The second we opened the box… BOOM! That peanut butter smell hit us in the face (in the best way).

🍰They’re super fluffy, cakey, and honestly? You’d never guess they were made with whey protein. No chalk. No weird aftertaste.

Delicious on their own — but dipping them in a vanilla protein shake? That took it up a notch cause it infused some awesome vanilla ice cream flavor!

Perfect little post-workout pairing for extra protein 💪🥛🍪 We also topped them on some protein yogurt which was also a SOLID choice 🤭

Now… is it super high-protein? Nope.

Does it give your daily intake a little bump while still tasting like dessert? Absolutely. And we love seeing brands meet people halfway and put their spin on things!

TRIPLE or DOUBLE — let’s settle this 👇🍔

came through with a $10 TRIPLE smashburger, which means you don’t have to be an Austin tech bro to afford a seriously DAMN GOOD burger.

Same owners as which means they’re all about quality and zero corners cut!

Let’s talk burger strategy…

🍔The triple is meaty meaty — juicy, filling, and absolutely WORTH it if you want maximum beef energy.

🧀BUT if you’re chasing the perfect cheese-to-meat-to-bun ratio, the double is the move. And yes… there is a flavor difference!

Think special shapes vs Reese’s cups — same ingredients, totally different experience!

You can even add jalapeños and halal bacon, which we MUST try next time!

We also tried the chicken tenders, and loaded chicken fries — WOW, not only are those tenders the size of a baby’s forearm, they’re crispy, juicey and you can sauce them 12 different ways!

✨Pro tip: Do the SECRET off menu SAUCE aka spicy garlic parm! It was our FAV! Also amazing was the lemon pepper and mango habanero!

We finished with homemade mini tres leches in Pistachio (super light with real pistachio flavor) and Biscoff (Sweeter and for the biscoff lovers), because you know we can never skip dessert, plus I mean they’re minis! 🍰
