Yesterday was National Puppy Day, and at Buda Oaks, we aimed to make a positive impact in our community.

A few months ago, one of our residents approached management with a generous offer. Every year her insurance gives her $250 to donate or create a fundraiser to make a difference in her community. She proposed partnering with PAWS Shelter of Central Texas PAWS Shelter of Central Texas. Together, we organized the "Adopt a Puppy Stuffy" event, utilizing that $250 to make it happen.

We reached out to our families, friends, partners, and the wider Buda community, inviting everyone to adopt an adorable stuffed puppy or kitten and support PAWS.

I’m thrilled to share that our event raised $800 for PAWS of Central Texas!

The residents of Buda Oaks remind us all that everyone has the power to make a difference and contribute to their community.

Shout out to Nacho, the adorable real dog featured in our video! He’s looking for his forever home and is available for adoption at PAWS. If you’re interested in welcoming Nacho into your family, please contact PAWS for more information.
