🔥 DAY EIGHT OF HOT YOGA EXPLAINED:
Today we explore the stages of Standing Head to Knee Pose — Dandayamana–Janushirasana.

This asana is a powerful reminder that nothing meaningful happens all at once. Just like in life, we move through stages — slowly, intentionally, and with presence. The final expression is never the starting point. You build toward it, one layer at a time.

If you’ve ever looked at this pose and thought, “There’s no way I can do that,” remember: you aren’t meant to start there. You start with your body, your balance, your flexibility, and your breath.

This posture unfolds in stages:
1️⃣ Lifting the knee and finding your grounding.
2️⃣ Engaging the core and stabilizing the standing leg.
3️⃣ Holding the foot and building strength evenly through the body.
4️⃣ Extending the leg when the body is ready.
5️⃣ Eventually, one day, forehead to knee — the full expression.

Each stage is purposeful. Each stage builds strength, focus, and discipline. And each stage is valid. Your body will look different, feel different, and progress differently — and that’s exactly how this practice is designed.

To build concentration.
To strengthen from the inside out.
To honor the process instead of rushing the outcome.

But this practice was designed for real bodies — tight hips, stiff backs, unsure beginners, all of it.

Our hot kriya slows each asana down so you can truly learn the pose instead of rushing through it. And with our intentionally smaller class sizes, your instructor has the space to guide you individually — helping you understand where you are in the posture and what the next step is for your body.

It finally feels like us — warm, welcoming, intentional, and clear. And that is thanks to Kelly Schoger. With Ascent Media and Design.

Kelly didn’t just “build” a website. She spent time really getting to know the Hub and the Massage School… how we teach, why we do what we do, how we hold space, and what we want our students and clients to feel when they step inside.

She translated all of that into an online home that actually reflects who we are.

This is the classic 26+2 Kriya sequence — steady, structured, and deeply supportive for both beginners and long-time practitioners.
The room is gently heated (90–100°) to help the body open with ease.
