I stopped by the corporate office yesterday and had the opportunity to witness the DON Council event. To make it even more exciting, I was able to watch our amazing Vice President of Operations Hilda Derzsy deliver her presentation alongside another outstanding VPO, Jim Farlee. The DON Council is truly impressive — they know how to balance professionalism with fun. Seeing how Ching Yang managed the setup was remarkable. It was also a wonderful opportunity to finally meet Robert Francis Amoloria, our Chief Nursing Officer. The corporate office is beautiful

We had a fun team-building activity for the managers through the cutting of the King Cake. The final day of the celebration fell on Tuesday during Mardi Gras, but since we had three events scheduled that day, we took the time to celebrate today instead.

Whoever found the baby would sponsor lunch (no pressure, of course!). Fortunately, Maria Alcantara got the baby and gladly embraced the tradition, scheduling a lunch delivery for the team.

The managers were very thankful, as the activity also gave them the opportunity to learn about celebrations from different cultures.

After celebrating Mardi Gras in the morning, our residents and staff kept the joy going with another festive event in the afternoon for Chinese New Year. Everyone was excited and hopeful that this would be their lucky year, and they put that luck to the test with a lively game of bingo. Residents and staff enjoyed delicious Chinese cuisine and had a wonderful time reading their fortunes from the cookies we served.

Sometimes, you really have to be creative to make our building a happy place to work. In celebration of Chinese New Year, we kicked off our managers’ morning meeting with a fun team-building exercise that truly made our team stronger and more united. It was a fantastic way to start the Lunar New Year, bringing good vibes to all of us! 🎉
