The practice of meditation helps us cultivate a relaxed nervous system and peaceful mind. In this course, you will learn the essential elements of Vishoka Meditation, the system of meditation taught by the Himalayan Institute that directs you to an experience of inner radiance and tranquility.

Topics include healthy breathing, relaxation techniques, and seated meditation for greater focus and clarity. Whether you are an experienced meditator interested in refining your practice or just beginning, this course will support your inward journey.

Support the 6-month Maha Sri Yaga practice being held at the Institute’s campus in Khajuraho, India. Each month, we gather at HIB to recite 20 repetitions of the Sri Sukta, a collection of healing mantras that support the collective consciousness.

Whether you are familiar with some, all, or none of these mantras, your presence in this Support Circle is beneficial on both a personal and collective level. You are welcome to sit and listen.

The rapidly changing outer world can be a challenge to our sense of direction and stability. Yoga practice can help. Join Sandy for a day-long exploration of three sources of inner guidance, protection, and courage:

1) Interoception—listening to the wisdom of the body

2) Buddhi—the intuitive, discerning mind strengthened in meditation

3) Self-reflection—on our behaviors, desires, and reactions in daily life

Practice asana and pranayama to tone and integrate the instinctive mind of the body, learn a daily self-reflection practice to assimilate the experiences of the day, and meditate to re-align with the best version of ourselves.
