The Longest Night welcomes Chris Harzynski, Founder and President/CEO of Creative Restorations Inc. 🕯️

As a trusted leader in addiction and recovery support across Western New York, Chris reminds us that timely connection to care can save lives.

His message is simple and powerful: “When you reach out, someone will pick up. When you feel lost, someone will guide you back to safety.”

That’s what Crisis Services does, 24/7. 💙

“Our community doesn’t just need food — it needs real nourishment.”

That’s a message our CEO, Chris Harzynski, continues to emphasize as Creative Restorations INC works weekly inside Buffalo’s food desert neighborhoods.

Access to fresh, home-grown produce is one of the most overlooked — and most powerful — tools we have to support residents facing food insecurity. In many of the neighborhoods we serve, families are surrounded by corner stores and fast food, but have little to no access to fruits and vegetables that support long-term health, recovery, and dignity.

That’s why partnerships like the one with Providence Farm Collective are so critical.

Fresh produce grown locally:
• Improves physical health and chronic disease outcomes
• Supports mental health and recovery by stabilizing nutrition
• Respects cultural food preferences and cooking traditions
• Restores dignity by offering quality, not leftovers
• Keeps food dollars and resources circulating within our local economy

For individuals navigating recovery, reentry, homelessness, or financial hardship, nutrition is not a luxury — it’s a foundation. You cannot heal, rebuild, or thrive on empty calories alone.

When local farms donate fresh produce, they’re not just giving food — they’re giving hope, health, and equity.

We are deeply grateful to Providence Farm Collective for growing with intention and sharing the harvest with neighbors who need it most. This is what community looks like: local solutions, rooted in the soil, feeding both bodies and futures. 🌱
