Chiropractic adjustments (spinal manipulation) and therapeutic massage are both wonderful treatments for reducing pain, restoring mobility, and improving overall health and wellness. When combined, these compatible therapies enhance each treatment, helping improve musculoskeletal and nervous system function, posture, and circulation.

Chiropractic care focuses on the nervous system, the musculoskeletal structure, and hard tissues, while massage therapy deals with the soft tissues.

Knowing how these treatments work together to compliment one another can greatly improve your musculoskeletal function, thus boosting your overall health.

Most of the time we recommend massage therapy before your chiropractic treatment. Have more questions? Ask your chiropractor or massage therapist at Peak Performance!

Have you tried our new Back on Trac yet?!

Here’s just a few key benefits of our brand new decompression table:

1) The treatment feels fantastic. You begin seated, and Back-on-Trac gently leans you back, providing vibration and heat while making you feel relaxed.
2)7-15 minute treatment time. Back-on-Trac is a treatment program that doesn’t take up your entire day.
3)Back-on-Trac offers therapy without having to use cumbersome restraints and belts.
4)Back-on-Trac brings long-lasting relief. Back-on-Trac therapy is delivered through gentle stretching of the spine, joints, and a wide range of important muscles, including those in the back, neck, hips, and thighs.
5)A non-invasive and effective solution that works for chronic back pain.
6) We have made this new therapy very accessible and affordable here at Peak Performance.

If you suffer from low back pain, please call our office today to make an appointment to see if you’re a candidate for Back on Trac decompression.

So why is posture important? have you asked yourself this question?
One of the main concepts of chiropractic is that there's a relationship between the structure of your body and the function of your body and when it comes to posture chiropractic, can play a major role. When a chiropractor examines you they're going to look at your musculoskeletal system. Perhaps in a way that other health care providers don't they're going to have you stand and look at the height of your shoulders? The alignment of your spine, the curves in your spine, the normal cervical curve and the thoracic curve, is the opposite. They are going to look at the heights of your hips, how your knees line up under your hips and how your ankles and feet line up under your hips and shoulders. They are also going to look for things like forward, leaning or backward leaning. If you're caved in in the chest, all of these things give us clues as to how you might be misaligned or subluxated and chiropractors will use these visual cues to understand how they can best adjust you to restore normal posture. We all are taught to have normal posture as we're growing up, but when your body becomes subluxated or misaligned, there's a lot of restriction in the joints and it actually becomes difficult to sit up straight and push your shoulders back. When your spine doesn't really want to bend that way, many people always report that after they get adjusted, having beautiful posture is effortless, the other thing a chiropractor will do is teach patients, good postural habits, and that will include things like how to carry things on Your shoulders, so that you don't throw your posture off, not carrying heavy handbags on one side or the other they'll talk to you about sleeping positions and proper pillow selection, so that you hold your alignment and posture when you sleep. They will also talk to you about how to have good posture at your computer or workstation, and for children. They will teach children how to choose the correct backpack and adjust it for that child's body, so that they're able to carry the weight in the backpack without damaging their posture. Your posture announces a lot to the world about who you are! So do your best to keep it upright!
