Congratulations Nancy!
đ WHS EXECUTIVE BOARD HIGHLIGHTS đ
Nancy Tabb serves as Secretary of the Wyoming Historical Society and is a passionate local history archivist at the Johnson County Library in Buffalo, Wyoming. Her engaging storytelling and history talks bring Johnson Countyâs people and heritage to life, inspiring others to appreciate Wyomingâs rich past. As President of the Johnson County Historical Society, Nancy Tabb has played a pivotal role in compiling oral histories, preserving personal stories that reflect the spirit of the region.
After moving from Georgia in 1991, she and her husband, Dozier, embraced Wyoming, raising their three children in Buffalo. Nancy Tabb holds a degree in education, taught kindergarten, coached theatre, and has led fitness classes at the Johnson County YMCA for two decades. Her love of reading, travel, and community involvement is evident in her work.
In 2016, she became Local History Librarian, contributing to documentaries and editing six award-winning oral history books, including âListen Closely as Johnson County Speaksâ and âBacktracking.â Nancy Tabb is known for her energy, knowledge, and enthusiasm, making her a valued leader and an inspiration to all who meet her.
We are so grateful to Nancy for enthusiasm, positivity, constant love for Wyoming History and her friendship! She is truly a cornerstone and we are blessed to have her as part of Wyoming Historical Society! Thank you, Nancy for everything that you do for Johnson County and Wyoming! You are so appreciated!
