When you enter an operating room, you want to see an experienced and compassionate team, and that's exactly what you get when you have surgery here at Sisters. Perioperative nurses are often the backbone of an OR, working in tandem with anesthesia, our surgeons, and surgical techs. In the OR, they advocate fiercely for their patients and prioritize their safety.

This week, we're not only celebrating Perioperative Nurses Week; we're honoring RN Christopher Nash as our Sisters Hospital Periop Nurse of 2025! Chris' fellow nurses describe him as an essential part of their department, saying he's calm under pressure, incredibly knowledgable, and always willing to dive in where he's needed most. Congratulations, Chris, and Happy Perioperative Nurses Week to this impressive team!

As we celebrate a month of gratitude, we're continuing to recognize the people who make our hospitals extraordinary. One of those people is Tim Richter.

Tim is a member of our Facilities team and has dedicated 55 years of service to Catholic Health and Sisters Hospital's St. Joseph Campus. The seeds of his hard work are quite literally everywhere in the bones of our building, and after all these decades, he still approaches his work with integrity and a passion for excellence every day. To mark his 55 year commemoration, Tim wore the pin he received on his five year work anniversary - talk about a full circle, profound legacy.

It's people like Tim who set our hospitals apart, and who often put our patients before themselves, because as he says, "It's just what we do." Thank you, Tim! 💙

Our extraordinary imaging and radiology teams play a critical role in patient care, from diagnosis to discharge. From CTs to MRIs, ultrasounds to x-rays and more, these caregivers often see patients who are facing an unknown, and their compassion, knowledge, and skill immediately puts people at ease. As we recognize National Radiologic Technology Week, we’re deeply grateful for the many ways these teams care for our patients and prioritize their health and safety! 💙

Time and again, we're reminded that it's the people who make Sisters stand out in the way we care. Stephanie Singleton is a Unit Clerk on 3 South, one of the busiest inpatient units in our hospital. She's worked at Catholic Health since 2000, and while she has served in different units at Sisters and Kenmore Mercy Hospital, one thing that has remained consistent is her dedication to both our patients and our nursing staff. Stephanie has lovingly earned the nickname "chaos coordinator" from her team, and they say through it all she greets everyone with a warm smile, love in her heart, and compassion.

It's for those reasons and so many more that we were thrilled to present her with a L.O.V.E. (Living Our Values Effectively) Award today. Please join us in celebrating Stephanie for all the ways she makes our hospital a better place!
