Cazenovia Recovery Systems, Inc. is a private not-for-profit corporation providing a comprehensive continuum of chemical dependency and mental health residential services for men and women in recovery. We are a vital partner in building successful lives in recovery and providing safe, affordable neighborhood housing that is sensitive to the needs of the community.
Since 1980, Cazenovia Recovery has provided residential treatment for people with substance use disorders. Over 50% of individuals the agency serves have co-occurring mental health disorders and significant medical health diagnoses. Cazenovia also offers supported housing for homeless individuals with a substance use diagnosis.
From the typical health concerns related to long-term substance use to the continuing stigma associated with recovery, the road to a better life is not an easy one. However, Cazenovia provides residents with hope, stable housing, and a positive way to live. Having progressed through much of the agency’s continuum of care, a former Supportive Living resident recently said, “I have nothing but good days.”
Our Programs
Cazenovia Recovery provides a complete continuum of residential care for individuals in recovery from substance use. The different levels of care within our continuum are:
Rehabilitation: intensive clinical treatment for individuals in recovery from substance use. Residents in this level receive onsite substance use treatment, mental health counseling, family counseling, vocational development, case management, and primary care.
Community Residences: group-living residential programs that focus on community reintegration and connections to community resources like outpatient clinics, vocational skills, educational development, and others.
Supportive Living: peer-supported apartments with wraparound services and counseling for individuals who are further along in early recovery. We have apartments for men, women, and parents with children.
Supported Housing: independent apartments with wraparound services that focus on relapse prevention for men, women, and families.
Each of our levels of care involves a trauma-informed approach, evidence-based practices, individual and group counseling sessions, connections to resources in the community, family reunification, positive relationships with the criminal justice system, and more.
