Allwel Who we are and how we can help you provide care for your loved ones with Alzheimer's / dementia, chro (NFTBI). Family caregivers have things that come up.

Allwel, as an agency, was established in 2000, and for the following 14 years was known as New Frontiers in TBI, Inc. With the name New Frontiers, the agency exclusively served individuals with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) under the New York State Home & Community Based TBI Medicaid Waiver program. Over the following years, NFTBI began providing more and more home care services for persons with chronic disease, Alzheimer’s / dementia, and other disabilities requiring physical and supportive care. As a result of these cumulative changes, the name New Frontiers in TBI, Inc. was no longer felt to be representative of the agency we had become, and Allwel was chosen to more accurately reflect the expansion of our mission to provide the supports needed to help the people who need care get it where they want to stay…at home. Our Philosophy and Mission

Home care is done best when it is a partnership between the agency and the families being served. When each partner provides support when the unexpected arises, your loved one will always get the care they want. You have a life you’re actively leading. The care for the participant still needs to be provided. Our partnership will provide the immediate and on-going care needed so that can happen. Through collaboration, we will maintain a plan of care that centers on the rights of the person we are serving to live as independently as possible, and continue to live their life where they wish.

Happy Chicken Soup for the Soul Day 🥣✨

Today is all about celebrating comfort, reflection, and the little things that feed your soul — whether it’s a good book, a cozy meal, or a quiet moment of gratitude.
Take a few minutes today to do something that warms your heart — call a friend, write in your journal, or simply enjoy a bowl of real (or metaphorical) chicken soup. 💛

Because sometimes, the best healing starts with comfort and kindness.

Go to an Art Museum Day 🎨🖼️

Today is the perfect excuse to get inspired, disconnect from the chaos, and step into a world of creativity.

Art museums are filled with stories, emotions, color, culture and moments captured in time.
You never know what piece might move you… or spark your next idea.

So if you get the chance today — go explore one.
Even if it’s a small local gallery, or just a quiet corner with paintings from an artist you’ve never heard of.

Go open your mind. Go get inspired.
Go to an art museum. ✨

World Freedom Day 🇺🇸

Today we honor the meaning of freedom — not just as a word, but as a lived experience.

Freedom to speak.
Freedom to vote.
Freedom to love.
Freedom to exist without fear.

This day is a reminder that many before us fought, marched, protested, and sacrificed so we could stand where we stand today.

Let’s never take that for granted.

And let’s continue pushing for a world where freedom isn’t selective — it’s universal.

National Cancer Awareness Day 💜

Today we honor every person who has battled, is battling, or has supported a loved one through cancer.

This disease touches so many families — and today is a reminder to prioritize early detection, screenings, and conversations around symptoms & prevention.

Let’s keep spreading:
• Education
• Support
• Compassion
• Strength

If you or someone you love has been affected — I’m sending you so much love today.
You are seen. You are valued. You are stronger than you think. 💪🏽💜

Happy National Stress Awareness Day! 💆‍♀️💛

Today is a reminder to pause, breathe, and check in with yourself. Stress is a normal part of life — but how we manage it matters. Taking just a few minutes to prioritize your mental and emotional well-being can make a world of difference.

Try one (or more!) of these today:
• Take a short walk
• Do some deep breathing
• Unplug from social media for a bit
• Journal your feelings
• Drink water and stretch
• Talk to someone you trust

Your peace matters. Your mental health matters.

Make time for YOU. 🌿
