Little actions truly can help people struggling feel loved, supported, and not alone. You can be the reason and the hope others may need even without a giant grand gesture. A pebble tossed in a pond still creates beautiful ripples.

Hugs in mugs share so much hope for caregivers!

Feeling alone and hopeless can be so overwhelming, and in this covid era, caregivers are alone more than ever not just navigating medical roads with their kids but even the sadness kids with chronic illness are feeling from being left behind as the world is waking back up.

The many caregivers we know work hard to keep their kids safe, happy, and optimistic that better days are ahead. But I know, they too could use some hope that they matter and are cared about too.

Share some hope through a hug in a mug. Help a caregiver catch their breath and know they are loved. Hope and love are powerful and yes, they can come in the form of a warm mug!

There are so many these days who need help, who need hope, who need to remember they are not alone. As a parent caring for a child with chronic illness, I can tell you that is stressful enough with its ups and downs, and now add additional stress from a pandemic. It can be a lot. Hospital/clinic appointments in these days can certainly add a different level of worry for caregivers.

Give Tim Hortons gift cards for our patients when they are in the hospital. Cole is another long-term patient who knows how much a warm cup of cocoa and a muffin means to a child who spends long days at the hospital for treatment. Parents appreciate the coffee as well!
