Lakeside Academy Lakeside Academy is a Christian, therapeutic boarding school for teen boys located in Buffalo, MN.

Lakeside Academy is a Christian Behavior and Recovery Center for boys aged 13-18 years, who are heading down the wrong path due to substance use, anger management, and other behavioral issues. We are committed to helping troubled teen boys who are heading down the wrong path. We have a safe and affordable camp environment for teens who are struggling with anger management, behavioral issues and/or addictions. We are built on a foundation of Christian faith – fostering new behaviors, character development, and helping each boy recognize who they were created to be. We do this by providing an amazing environment where they can truly feel like they belong and create new, positive relationships.

Did you know that teen substance abuse can start with your medicine cabinet? Many teens take legally manufactured pharmaceutical drugs such as Oxycodone, Xanax, Ambien, and Adderall without a prescription and without regard for their dangerous effects. If there are teens in your home, make it a habit to regularly clean out your medicine cabinet and safely discard old or unused prescriptions. "Did you ever do drugs?” It’s a question many parents dread. Is telling your kids about substance abuse helpful or harmful?

Unfortunately, it’s not an easy question to answer. Some professionals think that being candid about your past will give kids an excuse to drink and do drugs. Others say it can provide honest and open communication.

Lakeside Academy is a Christian Behavior and Recovery Center for boys aged 13-18 years who are heading down the wrong path due to substance use, anger management, and other behavioral issues. Set on 48 acres in the Buffalo, MN area, Lakeside Academy offers licensed treatment, mental health and other counseling services, and on-site educating including conventional, online, and project based learning – all in a camp environment. We are committed to helping troubled teen boys who are heading down the wrong path. We have a safe and affordable camp environment for teens who are struggling with anger management, behavioral issues and/or addictions. We are built on a foundation of Christian faith – fostering new behaviors, character development, and helping each boy recognize who they were created to be. We do this by providing an amazing environment where they can truly feel like they belong and create new, positive relationships.
