There was plenty of color and creativity in the kitchen yesterday at GiGi’s Kitchen Adult Program at GiGi’s Playhouse Buffalo! 🍓🫐🍍

Our friends worked together to create a beautiful rainbow fruit platter, using blueberries, kiwi, pineapple, oranges, strawberries, and more. Everyone played an important role in the kitchen, from rinsing and chopping the fruit to carefully arranging the colorful pattern. 🌈

Of course, no cooking program is complete without enjoying the delicious results! Friends also enjoyed some sloppy joes while spending time together, sharing laughs, and building confidence in the kitchen.

Programs like GiGi’s Kitchen help build independence, teamwork, and healthy habits, all while having a lot of fun. 💙💛

Yesterday’s GiGiFIT Adult class at GiGi's Playhouse Buffalo was full of energy! From lifting weights and stretching to discussing healthy habits, everyone showed up ready to move and have fun.

Programs like GiGiFIT help adults with Down syndrome build strength, confidence, balance, and healthy lifestyle skills, all while cheering each other on. 👏

Join us as we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day at our annual “Light Up the Night” Party at GiGi’s Playhouse Buffalo! 💙💛

On Saturday, March 21st from 5:00–7:00 PM, families, friends, and community members will gather at the Playhouse while iconic buildings and landmarks across Buffalo light up in honor of our loved ones with Down syndrome.

Enjoy an evening filled with pizza, wings, salad, desserts, adult beverages, music, and fun for the whole family. Our favorite DJ will be spinning the music, and our friends from the Buffalo State Early Childhood Program will be on site to help keep the little ones entertained.

Also, don't forget to pick your free yard sign and light bulbs which are available for pickup at the Playhouse during business hours.

Color, creativity, and confidence were on full display today at GiGi’s Games with Friends: Adult Programming 🎨

Our amazing participants spent the day painting and coloring their own unique masterpieces; each one full of personality, imagination, and heart. A very special thank you to for generously volunteering her time to guide, encourage, and inspire everyone to channel their inner artist.

At GiGi’s Playhouse Buffalo, we believe creativity builds confidence, connection, and community and today was a beautiful reminder of just that.

Today was filled with creativity, connection, and movement. Everyone enjoyed coloring beautiful designs, sharing lunch together, practicing yoga, and most importantly… spending quality time with friends. Thank you to everyone who showed up today. 😌

Our Story

What started as a local playhouse in a suburb of Chicago has turned into an international phenomenon, spreading awareness and inspiration to everyone it touches. GiGi’s Playhouses are Down syndrome awareness and educational centers that provide resources, specialized teaching, and support to individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community.

GiGi’s Playhouse centers evolved into educational centers with a focus on national awareness for Down syndrome and achievement for individuals of all ages. All of our programs are free to our families and are therapeutic in nature. Each of them are designed to work on specific skill development in several areas including speech and language, social development, and fine and gross motor skills. Our literacy program alone teaches thousands of kids with Down syndrome to read around the nation! Our math program has proven to be as powerful as our literacy program with a 100% improvement rate in all kids tested!

GiGi’s is committed to the important mission of spreading positive and accurate information about Down syndrome through education. We know that by helping individuals with Down syndrome reach their highest potential, we can change outdated perceptions that people may have. The end result is a world that is empowered with knowledge, compassion, and inspiration – what a better place for all of us!
