Creating authentic pathways to employment.
For individuals receiving services, authentic work experiences in real community workplaces are essential steps toward competitive, integrated employment. As an Employment First state, New York emphasizes the importance of ensuring individuals with developmental disabilities have opportunities to work, contribute, and succeed alongside others in their communities.
That’s exactly what is happening through the partnership between Diversified Labor Solutions, a division of Beyond Support Network and Sealing Devices Inc.
Through this collaboration, individuals supported by Beyond are gaining authentic, hands-on work experience in a real manufacturing environment. Our team provides on-site support while participants assist with kitting and assembly projects, building valuable workplace skills, confidence, and independence.
Community Prevocational Services launched this opportunity in December 2025, and it continues to grow. Today, six individuals participate daily with the support of staff.
Experiences like this are more than just a job for the day — they are pathways to future competitive employment.
At Beyond Support Network, we are proud to play a role in creating these opportunities and helping individuals take meaningful steps toward their employment goals. In fact, 97% of the individuals we support in employment services successfully achieve community-based job placements.
