โก๏ธ Meal prepping is not for everyone and it is certainly ๐๐๐ necessary in order to be "healthy" or to reach your weight loss goals.โฃ

โผ๏ธ However.. is it a great skill to have?? ๐ ๐๐!โฃ

๐๐ฝ It's a very empowering feeling to understand which foods are healthy and how to create a meal that is balanced and within your recommended calorie allotment. โฃ

๐So if you are ready take the next step and graduate from mostly convenience foods, use these steps to help guide you to stay organized so you don't get overwhelmed and lose your mind!โฃ

Steps:โฃ
1๏ธโฃ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง- Planning is CRUCIAL!!! How often do we not plan our meals then are left ordering takeout? To prevent this,ย brainstorm some healthy recipes using Pinterest, Googles, etc. Jot them down and decide which meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks) you need to prepare for the week and how much time you have to do so. โฃ

2๏ธโฃ ๐ช๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ- Simple yet VERY effective. The more you get in the habit of taking inventory of your kitchen to create a grocery list, the more organized you'll be, the more time you'll save, and the more successful you'll be!โฃ

3๏ธโฃ ๐๐ก๐จ๐ฉ- Put some time aside to grocery shop or opt for grocery delivery (Instant Cart) or look into someone shopping for you then just simply picking it up at the store.

4๏ธโฃ ๐๐จ๐จ๐ค ๐๐๐/๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐- So meal prepping doesn't mean cooking everything from scratch.. we can still buy prepared food items and just pack them up (ex: buying pre-cut veggies and store made hummus for a snack)โฃ

5๏ธโฃ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง- This is up to you guys, but what I have noticed personally is by portioning out my meals, such as lunches, it keeps me accountable for the week. I'm less likely to dine out on a weekday because I KNOW I have a healthy meal available in the fridge. So that encourages me to eat it, otherwise the alternative will have to be tossing it away on the weekend when I put so much time, money, and effort to plan and make it.โฃ
