I’m a woman. But I’m not only a woman.

Before any label, identity, category, or box — I’m a person. A human being with thoughts, ideas, creativity, flaws, strengths, curiosity, and a voice.

I respect the conversations happening around gender. They matter. People deserve dignity, safety, and the right to define themselves. But sometimes I wonder if we get so focused on the labels that we lose the bigger conversation… how we treat each other as human beings.

For me, I don’t want to be reduced to my gender — even in a positive way. I don’t want my ideas to be powerful because they came from a woman. I want them to matter because they’re thoughtful, honest, and real.

Being a woman is part of me, but it’s not the whole story.

I want to live in a world where we see each other first as people — where kindness, integrity, curiosity, and respect matter more than the categories we place each other in.

Maybe the real progress isn’t just recognizing everyone’s identity.

Maybe it’s learning to recognize each other’s humanity first.
