Over 100 people gathered for Mercy Hospital’s Annual EMS Awards Dinner held yesterday evening to honor local first responders for the lifesaving efforts they provide on a daily basis. This group of EMS honorees, many of them who volunteer their service, were chosen for their heroic actions during emergency response calls who went above and beyond to save lives. Among these emergency calls that stood out were saving a person who suffered cardiac arrest at the Buffalo Bills stadium and helping to rescue and save a resident when a massive tree had fallen on their home.
