Our next Faces of C+FS feature highlights Hailee Bane, Advocacy Coordinator at Haven House!
Hailee brings more than 11 years of experience in domestic violence services to her role. She began her career at the YWCA in Genesee County while completing her bachelor’s degree, where she spent five years supporting survivors. In January 2020, she joined C+FS as a Domestic Violence Advocate before stepping into her current role as Advocacy Coordinator.
In her position today, Hailee trains and supports new advocates while coordinating Haven House’s court advocacy services. She understands firsthand how emotionally demanding yet deeply meaningful this work can be. Hailee also maintains a small caseload of clients, ensuring survivors have guidance as they navigate the often-complex court system during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
During her time at C+FS, Hailee has taken on increasing leadership in both direct service and broader advocacy efforts. She was recently elected to the Regional Advisory Committee for the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, where she represents Western New York and collaborates with partners across the state to address policy, funding and systemic challenges impacting survivors and the programs that serve them. She also developed a self-esteem group for residents in Haven House’s shelter, creating space for participants to focus on themselves and begin rebuilding confidence.
When asked why she chooses to work at C+FS, Hailee shared that the agency’s commitment to growth and professional development has played a key role in her journey. As she prepares to graduate with her Master’s in Social Work from the University at Buffalo, she credits leadership with encouraging her every step of the way.
Thank you, Hailee, for your dedication, leadership and unwavering commitment to C+FS!
