McKale Hostetler, Jacob Netroy, and Tatyana Rambo competed in the first round of super smash bros finals. Jacob and McKale advance to semi-finals. Congrats to our Esports crew on their success.

Next week BPMS Student Council will be hosting our annual food drive. This year we will be collecting food for our own food pantry here at school. Our backpack program is essential to student success and we greatly appreciate donations. This program utilized specific items and you can see acceptable items on the flyer below. If you would like to make a monitary donation you can stop by the office at the middle school.

Ms. Wallace’s 7th Grade Science Students Explore Cell Membranes in Action! 🧫

Students conducted a multi-step investigation to model how cell membranes control the movement of materials in and out of cells. First, they placed raw eggs in vinegar to dissolve the shells and expose the delicate cell membranes. Next, the eggs were placed in water, where they nearly doubled in mass due to osmosis—the movement of water across the membrane.

After a few days, students transferred the eggs into colored water, salt water, or corn syrup, observing fascinating changes in egg size, mass, and appearance. Both quantitative data (measurements) and qualitative observations (descriptions) were recorded to help students understand how osmosis works in living cells.

The sunrise is beautiful this morning. As you can see our tent didn’t fair well in the wind. We can’t wait to get the day started.
