The Falcon Xpress Laptop FX11 features an 8MHz Doppler probe, dual UltraSense PPGs, Auto PVR with global editing, and standard software with configurable ABI/TBI and segmental testing plus fixed vascular protocols. It includes DICOM/DICOM SR integration, a wireless IR remote, a laptop with roller
bag, and an optional pole cart.

The Falcon PVD System offers advanced automated protocols, high-quality sensors, customizable workflows, and fast reporting that saves clinician’s valuable time. The system provides numerous tools such as DC PPG for digit pressures, Power PPG for digit pressures accuracy on patients that have cold extremities or severe PAD. The system also has Spectral Dopplers with boost to allow technologist to achieve waveforms on patients that would be almost impossible on other PVD testing machines. The Falcon System also allows extensive post editing capabilities and morphological and indices trending that no other PVD testing machine can do. Once a technologist is well trained on the Falcon Physiologic Vascular Testing system, they will rarely want to use any other PVD testing machine.

Early diagnosis is essential in diagnosing PVD before an invasive intervention is the only solution. If PVD is not caught early serious complications such as stroke, heart attack, gangrene or limb loss can occur. By detecting PVD early your physician can recommend Exercise and Dietary changes that can significantly improve the long-term outcomes of living with PVD. Frequently, if caught early, lifestyle changes are all that is needed to stabilize and even improve PVD status and limb function.

A PVD system is used to assess blood flow in the arms and legs, helping detect vascular diseases like PAD (Peripheral Arterial Disease). A diagnostic PVD exam involves accessing the Arterial and Venous Vascular system. Testing the arterial system in the lower extremities; Legs and Feet, should include a ABI and TBI, PVR Waveforms, PPG Waveforms of at least the great toes and possibly a doppler waveform at the Posterior Tibial and Dorsalis Pedis. An assessment of the venous system should involve a Venous Insufficiency exam utilizing PPG to detect venous reflux and or an ultrasound venous work up.
