📢 Calling all Georgia K-12 Administrators and Staff: Did you hear about house Bill 874 which requires all public K-12 schools to have at least one AED on-site by July 1, 2025?

Having all bedroom doors closed at night is a simple life saving habit you can start. This is because having a bedroom door closed in a fire will buy you a significant amount of time to become alert to the danger and take action. We should do this for all bedroom doors in our homes and teach others to do the same. In the picture below, you can see the huge difference between a bedroom door with the room door closed vs open.

Teaching kids why to call 911 and how to do it is important in case they get separated from you and are in danger, or if you are not able to call yourself and they are calling for you. Below is a tip on how to teach your kids this lesson.

Another tip is helping them memorize parent's phone numbers as well.
