When it comes to your horse’s health, the kidneys play a much bigger role than many people realize.🙌🏼

These two organs are responsible for filtering the blood, removing waste products, and helping the body maintain proper fluid and electrolyte balance. In many ways, they act as the body’s natural detoxification system. As blood passes through the kidneys, waste and excess substances are filtered out while important nutrients and fluids are preserved. This process helps maintain the balance that keeps every system in the body functioning properly.

The kidneys also play a role in regulating hydration, supporting normal blood pressure, and maintaining the body’s internal chemical balance. When kidney function becomes compromised, waste products can begin to accumulate in the bloodstream and disrupt the body’s natural equilibrium.🌿

Because of the critical role they play in filtration and detoxification, supporting kidney health is an important part of helping horses maintain overall health and long term wellbeing.

Healthy kidneys help keep the entire system clean, balanced, and functioning the way it should.💚

The pituitary gland may be small, but it plays one of the biggest roles in your horse’s health.🌿

Often referred to as the orchestrator of the body, the pituitary gland controls hormones that regulate metabolism, hair coat cycles, muscle maintenance, immune function, and the body’s response to stress. When it is functioning properly, these systems stay balanced and working together.

When the pituitary begins to lose regulation, hormonal imbalances can start to develop. One of the most common conditions associated with this change is Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction, commonly known as Cushing’s disease. Cushing’s is something many horse owners will eventually encounter, especially as horses age. Early signs can be subtle and easy to miss. A hair coat that does not shed normally. Loss of topline muscle. Increased drinking or urination. Changes in energy levels or body condition.

Because the pituitary gland controls so many hormonal processes, when it becomes unbalanced it can affect multiple systems throughout the body. Understanding how the pituitary works and supporting its function can play an important role in helping horses maintain healthy hormone balance and metabolic health as they age.🐴

When the body’s orchestrator is supported, the entire system has a better chance to stay in harmony.🙌🏼

Dealing with F***l Water Syndrome? You’re not alone!

FWS happens when your horse passes normal manure but has watery f***s around it. FWS is often caused by a combination of gut imbalance, dehydration, stress, parasites, or disrupted digestive function. Left unaddressed, it can affect nutrient absorption and overall health.

Our protocol is designed to address the root causes:
💚 Digestive Support – improves gut function and helps move nutrients efficiently
💛 Kidney Support – promotes hydration and proper fluid balance
🦠 Probiotics – restore healthy gut flora for optimal digestion
🌿 Herbal Wormer – supports parasite management naturally

This multi-step approach works together to rebalance digestion, support hydration, and reduce f***l water, helping your horse feel comfortable and perform their best.

A healthy gut = a happy horse! 🐴

If you have ever dealt with a horse coming up sore, stiff, or just not feeling quite right you know how frustrating it can be.

More often than not, those issues did not start overnight. They build slowly over time, that is why long term soundness has to be approached differently. It is not about reacting once there is a problem, it is about supporting the body before those problems show up.💚

In our upcoming webinar, we are talking about how to support long term soundness naturally. What symptoms to look for early, how to support joints and soft tissues before breakdown happens, and how nutrition along with daily care play a bigger role than most people realize.

If you want to stay ahead instead of playing catch up, this is for you. Reserve your spot, bring your questions or issues for the Q & A, and start thinking differently about your horse’s soundness.🐴

Your horse’s gut health matters. 🌿🐴

Sometimes your horse just needs a little Digestive Support focused on general digestive health. It helps dissipate gas, break down feed efficiently, remove entroliths and sand, and evacuate impurities from the body. Perfect for keeping digestion moving smoothly and maintaining overall wellness on a daily basis.

Other times, it’s about Gut Support, designed for stomach health, ulcer prevention, or treatment. It helps create a more alkaline environment in the stomach, soothes and coats the digestive tract, and includes antibacterial herbs to support overall digestive health. Ideal for horses prone to ulcers or sensitive stomachs, helping them stay comfortable and performing at their best.

Both are essential for keeping your horse happy, healthy, and thriving, whether in training, at the barn, or on the trail. A healthy gut isn’t just about comfort, it’s about overall well-being, nutrient absorption, and peak performance. 💚

Strong feet and healthy bones are the foundation of every horse’s performance, soundness, and overall well-being. 💪🏼

Every step your horse takes relies on the strength and integrity of their skeletal system and hooves. Weakness, imbalances, or nutrient deficiencies can lead to soreness, joint strain, tendon stress, and long-term lameness. Supporting feet and bones requires a comprehensive approach. 🌿

Key areas to focus on include:
• Proper nutrition that supports both structural strength and overall health.
• Consistent hoof care including regular trimming or shoeing to maintain balance, prevent uneven stress, and promote healthy growth.
• Connective tissue and joint support to strengthen tendons, ligaments, and cartilage that help protect bones during movement.
• Structured movement and exercise to stimulate bone density, maintain circulation, and support joint mobility.
• Early monitoring for cracks, soreness, or uneven wear patterns to catch issues before they become serious.
•Supplements that target support joints, bones, and hoof integrity.

A horse built on a strong foundation can move comfortably, perform confidently, and enjoy a longer, healthier life. Prevention and proactive care are always easier than correction, and investing in feet and bone health pays off in every ride.💚

Their go to product is Immune Support, which first became part of their program while supporting a gelding diagnosed with sarcoids.🌿

“We have used Immune Support on all our horses and have seen noticeable improvements in overall health, coat condition, and hoof health. We originally reached for Immune Support when our gelding was diagnosed with sarcoids. He went through seven rounds of immunotherapy injections, which we chose over chemotherapy, and we added Immune Support to help support his system through the process. Two years later he is still sarcoid free and thriving, and we have Silver Lining to thank for that.”

We are grateful to have dealers like Roaming Bay Trading Company representing Silver Lining and sharing their experiences with the equine community.💚
