Another great community event hosted by GWM. Our hearts are full by all of the fun and memories that were made this past weekend for kids and their families! We had a great turnout and we are so thankful for Mammen Family Public Libraryfor opening their space for families to come together to connect and experience an Easter event in a supportive environment. Shout out to our GWM team for all they do above and beyond their sessions and the 4 walls of the clinic and the great volunteers that we had. The heart of GWM is to bring connection and opportunities for our town 💚

We’re all back in the clinic today and ready to start 2026 strong! 🎉

As we kick off a new year, it’s a great time to talk about setting achievable developmental goals for your child in OT, PT, and ST.

✨ Why achievable goals matter
The best goals aren’t about rushing progress—they’re about building skills step by step so your child can succeed, gain confidence, and stay motivated.

🧠 OT (Occupational Therapy) Tip: Choose goals that fit naturally into daily routines (getting dressed, mealtime, play).
🏃 PT (Physical Therapy) Tip: Start with what your child can almost do and build from there—small gains lead to big wins!
🗣️ ST (Speech Therapy) Tip: Functional goals (asking for help, expressing needs) are often the most motivating and meaningful.

🌱 Tips for setting achievable goals
✔️ Keep goals specific and realistic
✔️ Break big goals into small, manageable steps
✔️ Celebrate progress—no matter how small
✔️ Work closely with your therapy team and adjust goals as your child grows
