Reminder heading into cold and flu season: the corticosteroids your healthcare provider gives you for these conditions are legitimately IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS. So you walk in with a suppressed immune system and walk out with medication that’s going to supress it further - which can make you sick longer or lead to secondary infections.

But guess what’s not an immunosuppressant? Massage (bet you didn’t see that coming!) If fact, regular massage improves your immune system through raising lymphocyte production, increasing antibioties, and decreasing cortisol!

So next time your boo is sick, opt for a 10-15 minute hand or foot massage over the steroid pack. You’re welcome.
