Some say they’re the tightest, the knottiest, too,
“The worst you will ever have worked on, it’s true!”
They come to my table, they huff and they puff,
Certain their muscles are tougher than tough.
I smile and I nod, “Oh, I’ve heard this before,
Your knots are quite knotted, but still! There are more!”
For every “tight back” that has walked through my door, I’ve met ten more shoulders that ache even more.
I’ve kneaded the necks that felt stiff as a board,
And hamstrings that squeaked when they stretched or they soared.
But the funniest part, (and I say this with cheer),
Is everyone thinks they’re the “tightest” this year!
So if you believe you’re the tensest of all,
Relax on my table! I’ll answer the call!
For knots big or little, I’ll work them with care,
And maybe, just maybe, you’ll float out of here…
