Our annual outing to the Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital Festival of the Trees was absolutely magical this year! Residents enjoyed strolling through the beautifully decorated donated trees—each one more stunning than the last. We enjoyed shopping in the gift shop for holiday treasures and, of course, snapping festive photos with Santa himself! 🎅📸 What a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season!

We had such a wonderful time exploring the Tacoma Art Museum today! The exhibits were fascinating and full of unique pieces that sparked lots of conversation. The bright, bold colors throughout the galleries brought so much energy to the day — and of course, the stunning glass displays were an absolute highlight. Truly breathtaking! After filling our morning with creativity and color, we headed to Zeke’s Pizza for lunch. 🍕 The fun continued over delicious slices, great company, and that amazing crust Zeke’s is famous for — perfectly crisp, chewy, and so, so good. A fantastic day of art, laughter, and great food! 🎨❤️

This week, we had such a wonderful time creating plastic beaded angels together! A resident’s family volunteer kindly joined us to teach this fun and festive craft, guiding everyone step by step. Each participant walked away with a beautiful handmade angel to display throughout the holidays — a perfect symbol of creativity and joy. 🎄 Everyone had so much fun learning something new, and the smiles said it all!

What an exciting day we had exploring the Future of Flight Museum at Boeing up at Paine Field in Everett! We learned so many fascinating facts about the 747 and the future of air travel and commuter flights — and it was truly amazing to stand beside the towering tail of a 747 and see just how small we looked next to it! 🛫 After our museum adventure, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Ivar’s on the waterfront in Mukilteo, complete with beautiful views of the landscape and passing ferries. The food was so good, even the seagulls were jealous! 😄 A perfect day filled with learning, laughter, and great company.

This month in Trevor’s Culinary Corner, Chef Trevor wowed us once again! He de-boned an entire turkey right before our eyes and showed us a new twist on a Thanksgiving classic — a stuffed, rolled whole turkey filled with delicious cornbread stuffing. It was truly a work of art and a wonderful learning experience for everyone who attended. While it may not be the traditional Thanksgiving bird, it was certainly beautiful, flavorful, and absolutely delicious!

Our creative group had a wonderful time this week making beaded fall corn! Using bright autumn colors of gold, orange, red, and brown, everyone created their own festive corn stalks — each one as unique and colorful as the season itself. 🍁 Not only did this project bring out our artistic sides, but it was also a great way to keep our fingers nimble and active. We love how these crafts turned out — a cheerful touch of fall made with care and good company!
