Hello everyone! Just in case you were curious about how our group training sessions usually go, here is the general format:
1.) A full body warm up to bring up our heart rates and pre-activate our muscles: 10-15 minutes
2.) A strength focused set of exercises where everyone’s doing the same exercise so that they can be evaluated on their form: 20-45 minutes
3.) A circuit of different exercises done in intervals at a higher intensity in which everyone’s transitioning to the next exercise when the time is up: 20-30 minutes
4.) A cooldown period to stretch, foam roll and work on mobility: 3-10 minutes

Hello everyone! We just wanted to let you all know that we now offer 1 on 1 and dual personal training as another service within the clinic. Small group training is also an option if you and a couple of friends are interested in training together. Quad RNT

What is RNT?
RNT stands for Reactive Neuromuscular Training.

RNT is a great way to prime the neuromuscular system to enhance muscle activation. These techniques result in the body resisting or reacting to an external stimulus, which can lead to improved motor control.

First, begin on all fours with your rear facing a wall, and with an exercise ball between yourself and the wall.

Then, brace your abdominal region and gently apply pressure back into the ball.

While maintaining pressure against the ball, begin removing one of your support arms and “paint the floor” with your hand.

Perform 6 to 12 repetitions for 2 to 3 sets.

The harder you push back into the ball, the more challenging the exercise.

Chin Tuck

Here is another great exercise to try if you experience neck or upper back stiffness with prolonged computer use. 👩‍💻

Start in either a standing or seated position. Then, begin by drawing your chin towards your neck (this should look like you’re giving yourself a double chin). Then, relax back to the starting position.

Hold this “tucked” position for 1-2 seconds.

Perform 8-12 reps.

Repeat this exercise every 1-2 hours.
