Cervical traction in clinic—what’s the point? 👇
For the right patient (especially neck pain that travels into the shoulder/arm), cervical traction can be a helpful add-on. Research supports traction most when it’s used as part of a bigger plan—think manual care + mobility + strengthening.
In our office, we use traction selectively to help:
✅ calm symptoms
✅ reduce pressure/irritation for some cases
✅ improve comfort so you can move and recover better
