🥧 Thanksgiving Craft Fun! 🍒🎃

Today our little artists had a “sweet” time making their very own Thanksgiving pies! Each child got to choose between crafting a pumpkin pie or a cherry pie, complete with paper crusts, whipped “topping,” and lots of creativity.

It was the perfect mix of fine motor practice, sensory play, and festive fun!

🎃✨ What an amazing night! Our team had such a great time at the BISD Sensory-Friendly Trunk or Treat last night! We loved seeing some of our current and former clients and meeting so many new families too.

This was BISD’s very first year hosting this event, and the turnout was incredible! We handed out mini pumpkins to every child—and ran out within the first 25 minutes! After a quick store run for 35 more, those were gone too by the end of the night! 🍂🎃

A huge thank you to Burleson Independent School District for organizing such a wonderful, inclusive event and for allowing us to be part of it. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

Our crew got creative today with a hands-on “Build a Pumpkin” activity! 🍂✂️ From silly smiles to happy faces, each pumpkin turned out uniquely adorable. Activities like this help our clients practice fine motor skills, creativity, and following one step instructions, all while having a fun time! 😉✨

🧘‍♀️ Mini Meditation Challenge
60-Second Compassion Pause

✨ When to use it: Before a tough conversation, after a sensory overload, or anytime you feel overwhelmed.

🕐 How to do it:

Place one hand gently on your chest.

Breathe in slowly for 4 seconds.

Breathe out gently for 6 seconds.

Silently say: “This is a difficult moment. May I be kind to myself.”

💡 Why it works: This simple pause interrupts stress, activates your parasympathetic nervous system, and reminds you that you deserve compassion too
