Hello everyone, we hope you’re having a great day! It’s time to introduce you to one of the newest additions to the CTS Team. Please join us in giving a BIG CTS WELCOME to one of our newest admin team members, Ms. Adilene!💜

Ms. Adilene attended the College of Health Care Professions and she is a National Registered Certified Medical Assistant . She is most looking forward to building meaningful bonds with the children and helping create a smooth, supportive process for parents. She wants to be someone they feel comfortable coming to with any questions or concerns. Ms. Adilene is a soccer/baseball mom, loves trying out new restaurants, and is a mommy to four beautiful children!💙

We hope everyone is gearing up for a cozy, joyful holiday! Just a friendly reminder that Children’s Therapy Solutions will be closed Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week in observance of Thanksgiving.💜

It’s with CTS 🍽️
Both of these pictures are preparations for feeding therapy sessions. Although the pictures appear very different, there are still foundational skills being addressed in every feeding session no matter what strengths and weaknesses your child may have.

A few of these skills include: maintaining trust, exploration of new tools and foods, limiting demands/pressure when needed, and establishing that food is positive and can be fun!💜

Remember, every child’s journey through feeding therapy is different and that’s okay! We celebrate our differences every day!💙

Building Language Through Play!
Speech therapy doesn’t have to feel like “work” — in fact, some of the best language growth happens when we follow a child’s lead and make it fun!

This week, we got creative with cars and castles to practice:
💬Increasing phrase length — “Car go fast!” → “The car is stuck!”💜�💥Commenting during play — “Uh oh, crash!” “Wow, go car!”💙

When kids are engaged in something they love, they’re more motivated to communicate — and that’s where the real magic happens. 💜💙

The CTS tree in the lobby is officially decorated with the most beautiful and unique leaves! So many of our friends have spent time creating masterpieces for our wall! 🍂🍁🌳

Many of our kiddos decorated a colorful “leaf” to add to our community tree, filling it with creativity, personality, and autumn magic. Not only was this craft fun, but creating the leaves also supported important therapy skills like fine motor coordination, sensory exploration, and following multi-step directions — all while letting our kiddos show off their creativity!💜

Articulation drills don’t have to be boring!

In today’s session, we were able to focus on the motor plan required for /L/ through tic-tac-toe using pictures, magnetiles, and expo markers! Due to the game being so fun and winning being so motivating, we were able to get tons of trials at the word and phrase level. 💜💙

Feeding therapy isn’t just about eating — it’s about exploring! We love turning mealtimes into playful experiences that help kids feel curious and confident around food. Some of our favorite ways to do that include:

💜Exploring textures, by squishing, touching, and smelling foods before tasting helps kids feel more comfortable.

💙Painting with sauces, by finger painting or using the foods themselves to paint and encourage interaction with different textures.

💜Making tiny tweaks to favorites, small changes (like a new shape, color, or dip) can help expand your child’s comfort zone little by little and bring confidence in eating routines.

Remember the goal is progress, not perfection — and a little fun can go a long way!

Duplo blocks are a great tool for sounding out words, spelling, and rhyming! Being able to move and manipulate each block/letter helps the child think about the parts/sounds of each word.💜

In this session, we were focusing on changing the beginning sound only to create new rhyming words. Different colors were used for the initial block to highlight that it was the only sound changing.💙

There’s something new and exciting in the CTS toy closet — and this new toy is already a big hit with our kiddos!💙💜

The use of objects can often make concepts (like vocabulary and size) easier to understand versus looking at pictures. For example, being able to touch and hold a small object in comparison to a big object makes the idea of size more concrete.

We have 3 new toys full of mini objects to help increase understanding of size, categories, vocabulary, and more! We can’t wait to show you just how fun learning is!
