Eating breakfast is a great way to start the day! Try some fast and simple solutions like a piece of toast with peanut butter, a protein shake, or cut up a piece of fruit the night before. Or try this fun recipe for Overnight Oats: https://www.theyummylife.com/Refrigerator_Oatmeal. It’s our dietitian Shannon’s favorite!

Portion control is something that’s frequently talked about, but can be difficult to visualize. Maybe we understand we should only eat one cup of cooked rice to help manage our diabetes, but what do we do if we don’t have a measuring cup nearby? Or how can we tell how much 3 ounces of chicken is without a food scale? Flexibility is an important part of life and managing health.
