Did you know the flu spreads before symptoms even show? 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫.

Here’s the simple truth:
• Flu germs can travel up to 6 feet.
• You’re contagious 1 day before you feel sick.
• A single sneeze can release 100,000 droplets.

A little prevention goes a long way. 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠, staying home when sick, and getting your flu shot help keep everyone safer this season.

It’s 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤, a timely reminder that flu season can be especially challenging for older adults and those with chronic conditions.

𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬. 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞.

A few 𝐟𝐥𝐮-𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬 that make a real difference:
• Wash hands often to limit germ spread
• Stay home when feeling unwell
• Cover coughs and sneezes
• Keep high-touch surfaces clean
• Consider vaccination for added protection

These simple steps help protect families, caregivers, and our most vulnerable patients.

At 𝐀𝐍𝐗 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞, we support safe, reliable, and compassionate care throughout flu season. Protecting one another is part of how we care for our community every day.🧡🧡

𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 is one of those everyday habits we barely think about, yet it does so much heavy lifting for our health. A quick scrub can help protect your home, your loved ones, and the people we care for across the Bay Area.

𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬:

🔹Soap doesn’t kill germs—it lifts them off so water can wash them away
🔹Most adults wash for only 6 seconds… but 20 seconds is the real game changer
🔹Handwashing can reduce respiratory illnesses by nearly a quarter
🔹Fingertips carry the most germs, yet they’re the most often missed
🔹The temperature of the water doesn’t matter—friction is what counts

At 𝐀𝐍𝐗 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞, small habits like this help us keep care safe, warm, and reliable for every patient we serve.🧡💙

Our 𝐀𝐍𝐗 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 spent the day visiting 𝟏𝟑 𝐑𝐂𝐅𝐄𝐬 owned by Irish Ludwig, and every stop had its own little spark. A warm hello, a quick laugh, a familiar song—each moment made the day feel bright and full of life.

𝐁𝐫𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐧 kept the day moving with steady leadership and genuine care.
𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐚 helped create an easy, welcoming energy through the strong trust she’s built with Irish and her teams.
And 𝐉𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐨 brought the fun with his piano playing at Evergreen, Saratoga, and White Oaks. Residents enjoyed it so much they asked him to come back.

It was a day filled with smiles, connection, and the kind of simple joy that reminds us why community care matters. These shared moments stay with us, and they make every visit worthwhile.

"𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞."

This week's celebrates 𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤, whose dedication continues to shine through in every patient interaction.

𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 recently completed 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐂 training—and she didn't just apply it, she elevated it. She now writes personalized thank-you notes for patients at discharge, highlighting their wins, progress, and the steps they can keep taking to stay confident at home. It's a simple touch, yet it creates a meaningful, lasting impression.

And the impact doesn't stop there. Recent 𝐇𝐇𝐂𝐀𝐇𝐏𝐒 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 from a patient praised Joanna's compassion and professionalism:

"𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 was extremely helpful. She had great ideas for home healthcare. She was encouraging and enthusiastic. Very professional and knowledgeable.

𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚, thank you for bringing warmth, insight, and encouragement to every visit. Your blend of expertise and genuine kindness reflects the heart of ANX Home Healthcare—care that supports, uplifts, and empowers every individual we serve.🧡💙

December 3rd is 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. This reminds us that respect and accessibility create healthier, more connected communities. Today, we honor the strength, talents, and everyday contributions of individuals living with disabilities while raising awareness for equitable, person-centered care.

At 𝐀𝐍𝐗 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞, we remain committed to care that protects dignity, support independence, and meets each person where they are. Our teams show up with compassion and practical support that helps individual and families move through their health journey with confidence.

𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐫’𝐬 passion for meaningful, heartfelt service continues to grow. She recently launched our new For-e-Bear Program, transforming a loved one’s clothing into comforting keepsake bears for families navigating loss. This program is already touching lives with its warmth and sincerity.

And just this past Saturday, Jennifer helped lead our community crafting event at St. Augustine. The turnout was incredible—36 kids, supportive parents, dedicated catechist teachers, and ANX volunteers all coming together to create ornaments and cards for our hospice patients. The energy, creativity, and kindness in the room were inspiring.

Jennifer’s heart for service and her gift for bringing people together make her a remarkable leader at ANX. We’re excited for all the meaningful moments ahead as she steps fully into this new chapter.
