Cycling class @ 5:15 am with my daughter! It is been a long time since we workout together. The class made me work hard and sweat. I felt energized and stronger. Precisely what I was expecting! But going to the class with my soon-to-be college girl made the experience extra special. It was the kick of my day!

I usually work out alone with free weights, and I am consistent. But working out with my daughter gave me extra motivation to wake up and be on time for the early class. Looking at her during the class gave me the energy to not give up.

I felt so happy after the class that I decided to do a quick search about the benefits of working out with a partner. Here are 4 benefits I found:

A month from today, my daughter is going to college. Today we sat together in church. Then we went out for lunch. I know this sounds like nothing, but we are usually never alone. She is always with her boyfriend, and my son is always around. We got to spend some "Mom and Daughter" time together. It was such a meaningful time for me! I am very grateful for moments like this.

Talking with her, I realized that we only have 2 more Sundays, instead of 4, before she leaves for college. I could not believe it! Even though we had been planning her move together, I was still shocked.

One of my intentions this month is to hug her every day she is at home and let her know how proud I am of the young woman she turned out to be. I know this is a very simple goal, but so easy to miss with our busy schedules.

I finally went to the beach today. It was such a beautiful sunny day! I was with my son having fun 🤩!
