She arrived at the hospital, already 8cm dilated. Had woken up from a contraction only 4 hours prior. You could tell she had prepared for this moment for months. The room was quiet as we beheld her power. A Christ given strength as she labored her baby down and out into the world. A beautiful water birth for this first time Mama. The emotion that flooded that room was like no other. Pride, joy and wonder. She gasped, “I can’t believe I just did that. What just happened!?”
My all time favorite exclamations. Women are incredible.

Last night we had our quarterly doula meeting (we missed Jeysi though!) and what a fun date to have it on because yesterday we celebrated the 4th birthday for Holistic Heritage Birth Services! Around five years ago, I started dreaming up this little dream which the Lord has graciously multiplied many times over.

I am blessed to have some of the most amazing doula partners alongside me who are also my dear friends and prayer warriors. They each serve our community so well and encourage each other often.

Our doula team is not just a business - our goals are to serve mothers and families, create community, and spread the love of Christ in everything we do. 🤍
