Recently this year Lunning Chapel has added two new members to its crew!! Welcome to the Lunning Family, Kourtney Waterhouse and Ryan Readinger.

Kourtney Waterhouse is the daughter of Jeff Waterhouse and Rochelle Swanner. She was a 2013 graduate of Mediapolis High School and a 2015 graduate of Southeastern Community College, finalizing her education as a 2017 graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology.
After college, Kourtney worked for Christamore Family Treatment Center, followed by Hope Haven for six years, where she worked as a Direct Support Professional and earned her CNA and CMA licences. She then continued her care at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as a CNA.
Kourtney and her boyfriend, Jason, have two dogs, Marshall and Nikita. You can find her reading, traveling, or out with family.

Ryan Readinger was born and raised in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Chip and Dana Readinger. A 2008 graduate of Burlington High School, he went on to attend the University of Iowa and Kirkwood Community College before beginning his professional career.
Ryan joined Brothers Bar and Grill in Iowa City in 2011, started as a bouncer and steadily advanced through several leadership roles. His dedication and strong work ethic led him to become General Manager of the Lincoln, Nebraska location, were he served from 2015-2021.
Having grown up assisting with memorial services at Lunning Chapel, Ryan developed an early appreciatlion for supporting families through difficult times. He officially joined the Lunning Chapel staff in 2025 as a Funeral Assistant, continuing a family tradition of service and care.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys exploring technology and electronics. He is particualarly passionate about free and open-sourced software, with a focus on privacy, security, and personal freedom.
