A delayed celebration made even sweeter! On March 17, UMass Memorial HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital proudly recognized the January 2025 cohort of our New Graduate Nurse Residency Program. After a snowstorm postponement, the moment finally arrived—and it was worth the wait.

Congratulations to our four graduates—Kristen Battle, Alex Macklin, Gina Locke, and Victorine Lontum, all of whom have chosen to continue their careers at HealthAlliance‑Clinton Hospital.

A special spotlight goes to Victorine Lontum, who joined us after the closure of her previous hospital. She has quickly become a valued member of our Geriatric Medical Psych Unit, bringing compassion, dedication, and a strong commitment to caring for older adults.

We’re honored to support the next generation of nurses and are so grateful to have these four exceptional caregivers on our team! To learn more about our New Graduate Nurse Residency Program, go here: https://tinyurl.com/ws6bs32r

Saint Anne’s Hospital has launched a new program with the Somerset Fire Dept designed to improve outcomes for patients experiencing sepsis — a life-threatening medical emergency — before they even reach the hospital.

Through this new collaboration, emergency responders are now able to begin administering IV antibiotics in the field, allowing life-saving treatment to start minutes earlier than traditional hospital-based care. This is the first collaboration of its kind in Bristol County. Learn more about this innovative partnership on our website: https://f.mtr.cool/gwhztzqpfv

Empowering community-based innovation: yesterday at the State House, Massachusetts hospitals stood together to advocate for continued support of Hospital at Home and Mobile Integrated Health programs — innovative care models that deliver high-quality care in patients’ homes while reducing avoidable emergency department use and larger healthcare costs.

Thank you to our legislative partners, including Chairs John Lawn, Daniel Donahue, and Michael Finn, for championing these innovative programs so they have the adequate insurance support they need to survive and expand.
