Lucinda used to ask whoever she was with to cut her steak for her. Now she cuts it herself.

After her stroke in 2009, Lucinda lost the use of her right hand. Washing dishes, cutting food, using both hands for anything felt out of reach. "I pretty much had given up hope of ever having both hands again."

Then she got the MyoPro®. Now Lucinda can cut her own food, wash dishes with both hands and do things she never thought she'd do again. "And now I have both hands back to use."

And the moment she'll never forget? "When you first put it on and your hand stretches out for that very first time, it's the best feeling in the world."

Liz wasn't ready to give up on the things she loved.

After her stroke, she could only use one hand, making cooking, grocery shopping and so many daily activities incredibly difficult. Then she found the MyoPro®.

Now she can hold things, pick things up, push a cart and cook again. As Liz puts it: "It's something that you think you'd never be able to do again. And now you can do it."

What's one everyday task you'd love to get back?

Zeke was 8 when he lost the use of his arm. At 18, he found it again.

An ATV accident left Zeke with a brain injury, a spinal cord injury and a brachial plexus injury. He had to learn how to do everything again with one functional arm. He went through surgery to try to restore feeling and movement, but it didn't work. Going back to school and watching his friends do things he couldn't was hard, but Zeke refused to let his injury define him. He challenged himself to do everything a two-armed kid could do, even when he couldn't quite keep up.

At 18, Zeke decided to search for answers on his own. One night he Googled brachial plexus injuries and that's when he found the MyoPro®. He reached out to Myomo and quickly got an appointment to try the device.

"The first time I tried the device on, it was crazy. Putting the device on and watching my fingers move and watching my arm bend for the first time in 10 years, I couldn't even picture it. It was new to me."

After just one month with the MyoPro, Zeke already saw results. He holds his shoulders better and uses his left arm more than ever before.

Zeke's message to anyone in a similar situation: never give up. There is always an answer out there. For Zeke, the answer is the MyoPro.

There's nothing else like the MyoPro®.

Dr. Kovelman, Chief Medical Officer at Myomo, explains how the MyoPro® is the only device that senses the electrical signals in your muscles and uses them to help you move your arm and hand again.

You're not just wearing a brace. You're retraining your body to do the things that matter most.

Brushing your teeth, something most of us never think twice about.

Nearly 800,000 people in the U.S. experience a stroke each year, and for many, simple daily tasks become the hardest. When you've lost the use of your arm, even picking up a toothbrush can feel impossible.

During Brain Injury Awareness Week we’re reminded of moments like this.
