We are writing to inform you of our updated hours due to the Covid-19 guidelines. We will be holding office hours Monday through Friday from 10:00am-2:00pm. We are trying to limit as many in office appointments as possible, in order to keep both our patients, and staff healthy. As always, Dr. Przybylski will be available for telemedicine calls 24/7. If you are unable to make it within the adjusted hours we will do our best to accommodate you. Also, if you believe you are showing symptoms or have been exposed please do not come into the office, call us and we will give you instructions as how to proceed.

Below please read my POEM regarding the warning of ibuprofen as a treatment:

Speculation
France head health minister suggested that patients with COVID- 19 should not use Ibuprofen. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) would be preferred.
Ibuprofen and cortisone could be aggravating Covid-19. Apparently 4 cases of young patients had aggravation of Covid-19 using NSAIDS especially Ibuprofen. It is felt that prolonged respiratory infections are aggravated by Ibuprofen.
Two randomized trials suggest Ibuprofen results in severe illness as an aggravation.

In good health,

John L. Przybylski
M.D., FACP

Dehydration

Cheers to a good drink of Water!
When we awake in the morning we are usually dehydrated. It is estimated that 75% of people have dehydration. Alcohol, Soda, Coffee and Tea can cause dehydration.
Problem
Dehydration can lead to constipation, headaches, fatigue, decreased cognition, muscle cramps, gout, damage to kidneys, and increase blood sugar in diabetics.
Food
Hydrating foods are cantaloupe, strawberries, honey dew melon, watermelon, and cucumbers.
Water basics
Our bodies are made up of 65-75% water. Water helps muscle function, brain function, digestive and kidney function. Toxins are removed from our body, kidney, and bowel by hydrating. Dehydration can lead to infection, so cheers to H2O!
