Brave Changes, LLC

Brave Changes, LLC Life can sometimes be tough, but getting therapy doesn't have to be. Let's start the journey today, together.

My name is Lori-Ana and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Life Coach. I have been in the mental health field for over 6 years. After recognizing that I needed to make a change from corporate life to something that fulfilled my need to make a difference, I started on my own journey to personal healing. I realized that we all need support in taking small steps to make brave changes.

Valentine’s Day reminder: self-love counts too. ❤️

Whether you’re celebrating with someone special or spending today quietly, your relationship with yourself matters most.

Speak to yourself gently.
Honor your needs.
Offer yourself the same compassion you give others.

Give yourself the kindness you’d give a friend.

Emotional safety is the foundation of healthy relationships.

It’s not about perfection — it’s about how you feel when you’re with someone.

✨ You can be honest.
✨ You feel respected.
✨ Your feelings aren’t minimized.

Safe relationships allow you to show up as your full self — without walking on eggshells, over-explaining, or shrinking your emotions.

Notice which relationships in your life feel this way. Those are worth nurturing.

Which sign stands out to you most?

Emotional invalidation isn’t always obvious.
It can sound like:
“You’re overreacting.”
“It’s not a big deal.”
“You shouldn’t feel that way.”

Over time, hearing these messages can make people doubt their own emotions.
Learning to recognize invalidation is an important step toward self-trust and emotional health.

🤍 Share if this helps someone feel seen or understood.

Your feelings don’t need proof to belong.
You don’t have to explain them, earn them, or push them aside.
They matter—simply because they are yours.

If this speaks to you, let it be something you return to.
Save this for when you need it.

Emotional invalidation can chip away at self-trust, lead to emotional shutdown, and increase anxiety or disconnection over time. The good news? You can learn to recognize it and build healthier ways to validate yourself and others.

🖤 Honoring Black History Month 🖤

This Black History Month, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of Black individuals and communities—past, present, and future.

We also recognize the importance of culturally responsive mental health care and the need to continue reducing stigma, increasing access, and uplifting diverse voices in mental wellness. Everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and supported.

At Brave Changes, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive space where all identities and experiences are respected and valued.

This month and always, we honor Black history, Black voices, and Black well-being. ✨
