I love this definition of a “soft life.”

This is something I’m trying to practice by approaching my days with a little more gentleness, a little less pressure, and a willingness to slow down when I need to.

It feels small… but also kind of radical 😉💚

In a world that measures worth by productivity, this feels like an important reminder.

Doing your best can look many different ways. You don’t have to be any particular version of yourself to belong. 💚

None of us moves through life alone.
Our stories, struggles, and healing are deeply interconnected.

Spaces where we can show up honestly remind us of something essential ~ we belong to one another 💚

Safe connection changes us. It reminds us we don’t have to be on guard all the time. In the presence of steady, caring people, our hearts feel seen and our bodies remember how to settle.🩷

Rest is not indulgent. Rest is essential. Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is give ourselves room to pause.

I love that "safe space" is listed as a form of rest! Safe space is where you don’t have to perform and you can feel what is true without fixing it or explaining it away.❤️

It’s not easy, but when we feel our feelings ~ all of them ~ we stop confusing avoidance with healing and make room for something more honest and whole. ❤️

I came across this image today and it made me pause.

“I wanted to cry. So I did.
And I was brave. And sad.”

I loved these books when I was a child, and somehow they keep finding their way back to me. This time, I was especially struck by how the original text was gently edited. What once framed bravery as holding back tears has been reshaped to hold a deeper honesty:

that crying and being brave can exist together.

What a gift to remember that bravery isn’t the absence of tears. Sometimes bravery is the tears… letting ourselves feel what is true instead of pushing it away.

Our understandings grow. What we need permission for changes over time. Sometimes we return to old stories with new eyes, adding language that makes room for the full complexity of being human.

In a world that often praises stoicism and strength, this feels like a permission slip ~ to be honest, tender, and fully human all at once.

Let's keep making room for that kind of courage. 💚
