Trinity Counseling Services LLC will be open Monday on the observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day.

Before you ask, why am I working on Monday, I will share with you my dream.

Some years ago, I was asked to be guest speaker at a “I have a dream” event. I have a copy of this speech on a poster board that I found at an event and is one of the few things that I was able to retain after moving from my home that I built.

At the time, I was employed working for a government entity and spent much of my workday agreeing with things that affected my core. So deeply was I affected that I developed physical symptoms by way of migraines and panic attacks and I coped with the frustrations of the foolishness that I saw with more foolishness.

I also developed another coping mechanisms that allowed me to transform which was the styling of my hair including being bald, dreads, faded, permed, colored and covered.

I didn’t realize that all was an effect on nothing connected and finally learned to verbalize these thoughts into a plan for business focused on the education, enrichment and enlightenment of God’s people.

Fast forward to the present 25 years and I am reminded that my dream was the same as Dr Martin Luther King Jr but includes not having to dream but to have a reality that my children will be cared for, that they will be respected not for the color of their skin but their character and that they will always have free expression and not have to depend on anything external to give them happiness or joy.

My dream as a reality will be to not worry for what we will eat or where we will sleep because these things will be automatically taken care of.

So, anytime I can work and fulfill this dream I will do that.
