Registry data is shaping hospital strategy.

Across service lines, we’re seeing three major shifts:

Registry data is being used strategically, not just for compliance, but to drive measurable performance improvement.

Financial and payer conversations are increasingly influenced by outcomes transparency and documented performance.

Workforce pressures and growing registry complexity are forcing programs to rethink how abstraction, validation, and reporting are structured.

In 2026, hospitals that treat registry operations as strategic infrastructure will be better positioned for accreditation, payer alignment, and long-term growth.

Here's what these three trends mean for hospital leadership

New for 2026: The CathPCI Registry submission deadline has changed!

Q4 2025 data submission is now due at the end of March, moving up from the previous April 14th deadline. This change from a 90 day time frame to a 75 day time frame makes proactive abstraction, validation, and data review even more important to ensure complete and accurate reporting.

Taking time now to confirm case completeness and data quality can help avoid last-minute challenges and support reliable outcomes.

If your team needs support with abstraction, backlog management, or final validation, we’re here to help.

Most hospitals treat cardiac registry deadlines as a reporting task.

But the real impact is much bigger.

Registry timelines influence how accurately hospitals can track outcomes, benchmark performance, and prepare for accreditation requirements.

When abstraction backlogs build or version updates fall behind, the ripple effects reach far beyond the registry team.

Understanding the operational role of cardiac registry timelines can help hospitals maintain stronger data integrity and better visibility into performance.

Our latest blog explores why these deadlines matter more than many organizations realize.

This week, we're proud to recognize Patient Safety Awareness Week 2026 — and reflect on the role our work plays in it every day. 🤝

Accurate, complete registry data doesn't just support compliance — it drives the quality improvement decisions that keep patients safer. Behind every data point is a care team working to improve outcomes, and behind every abstracted record is one of our dedicated specialists making sure that data tells the full story.

Great care starts with strong teamwork — and that teamwork extends to the registry professionals supporting hospitals nationwide.
