A popular podcast recently reignited a repeatedly debunked false claim about lavender and tea tree essential oils being endocrine system disruptors. Much of this is based on case reports that do not prove causality. This is equivalent to concluding that fireman are the cause of fires because they are consistently observed at the scene of fires.

Don't be duped by this false narrative that is based on terribly bad science that attributes the negative effects of products that contain no lavender, isolated constituents, or synthetics to pure lavender. There is currently no reasonable and reputable science that confirms pure lavender essential oil disrupts endocrine system function.
