Even with snow and ice covering the property, it is business as usual here at Discovery Place.

Recovery does not pause for the weather. Our community remains focused, connected, and committed to the daily work that saves lives. Meetings continue, routines stay intact, and the work of recovery goes on.

If you are traveling in these conditions, please take extra precautions and stay safe. Slow down, plan ahead, and look out for one another.

We are grateful for our staff, residents, and supporters who continue to show up, no matter the season.

January is a time of new beginnings. It is a chance to take an honest look at where we are and where we want to go.

Step One of Alcoholics Anonymous reminds us that admitting powerlessness is not weakness. It is the starting point of freedom. At Discovery Place, we see every day how lives begin to change when men stop fighting alone and become willing to ask for help.

A new year does not require a perfect plan. It requires honesty, willingness, and the courage to take the first step.

If you or someone you love is ready for a fresh start, January can be the beginning of something new.
