You don’t have to travel far to get a second chance. We believe recovery starts at home in a familiar town, surrounded by local folks who care. Sometimes that hometown touch makes all the difference.

At Lake Cumberland Recovery, we’re proud to serve this region with multiple facilities across Somerset, London, and the surrounding area. Different locations, same mission… giving people real second chances, close to the people and places that matter most.

Whether it’s family nearby, or staff who know your story, you’re never just a number. You’re part of a community that’s pulling for you.

If you or someone you love is lost in the chaos, help might be closer than you think. When you’re ready to take that first step, message or call us. We’re here to help day or night.

If you’ve got gently used coats, hoodies, warm socks, shoes, hats, or gloves you’re not using, this is a great place to send them. Your extras can help someone in recovery stay warm, feel seen, and keep moving forward.

Every Saturday starting this weekend, Cowboy Church at Suits Us Farm will be taking winter clothing donations from 12–5 PM (4291 KY-80, Somerset).

We’re gearing up for winter and could use a little help from our amazing community!

A lot of people come into rehab with little to no clothing of their own, and by the time they transition into sober living, they’re in the active stages of trying to rebuild every part of their lives. Something as simple as a warm coat, a pair of socks, or a hoodie can give them comfort, dignity, and a sense of stability when they’re working so hard to move forward.

Every Saturday beginning December 6th, Cowboy Church at Suits Us Farm will be hosting a drop-off station from 12 PM – 5 PM. If you have gently used coats, hoodies, warm socks, shoes, hats, or gloves, we’d be grateful to put them to good use.

Your kindness helps our residents face the winter with dignity, comfort, and a reminder that this community believes in them.

Happy Thanksgiving from Lake Cumberland Recovery.
Today we’re thankful for every person choosing hope, healing, and a fresh start. We’re thankful for the families who stand by their loved ones, the staff who show up with compassion every day, and the community that believes recovery is possible.

If today is a tough day for you, please know you’re not alone. You matter. Your story is still being written. We’re grateful for you.

In a season where gratitude is on everyone’s mind, we wanted to share what it looks like through the eyes of the people who make this place what it is.

Recovery gives you a lot to be thankful for — second chances, restored families, clear mornings, honest friendships, and the chance to become someone you’re proud of.

These are just a few of the voices in our LCR family, talking about the hope they’ve found and the lives they’re rebuilding one day at a time.

We’re grateful for every person who trusted us with their story… and grateful for the courage it took for them to get here in the first place.

Every person in this group made a decision that most people never see, they chose to fight for their life instead of letting the darkness keep pulling them under.

They showed up when it was uncomfortable.
They told the truth when it would’ve been easier to shut down.
They kept going on the days when everything in them said quit.

And today, they get to stand here as graduates. Clear. Steady. Proud.

Recovery doesn’t happen in one big moment. It happens in all the small, quiet choices they made over and over again and those choices led them here.

We’re proud of this group, thankful for their courage, and grateful to be part of their story.

When someone walks into treatment, the first person who usually makes them feel safe is a peer support.

They’re the ones who’ve lived it… the fear, the withdrawals, the shame, the years of chaos. And because they’ve been there, they know exactly what to say when someone feels like running.

Peer supports are the steady voices reminding folks, “You’re not crazy, you’re not alone, and you can do this.”

They walk with people through the ugly days, the homesick days, the breakthrough days and they help them believe in a future they haven’t seen yet.

If you’ve been nervous about coming to treatment, this is who you’re really going to meet: someone who’s lived the same story and made it out the other side.
